Our Mission             

Starline Press is an innovative curriculum company providing schools and individuals who desire excellence in character, an education for their students, through accelerated self-paced learning.

Our History

California Education Network began in March 1999, a vision of Sandi Combs. It was founded as an educational service company and obtained a grant through Yuba College to help train the work force of Yuba and Sutter counties in computer training.

Our Purpose

Yuba City Charter School was birthed in September 2000. When the school found there was no individualized curriculum that could meet the criteria they needed, Starline Press was formed. The Starline Press mandate was to fill the need for character-based, individualized, independent learning curriculum that contained self taught and motivated units of learning to be used in the classroom supervised by a teacher or in an independent learning environment. After exhaustive research, Starline realized other schools, both public and private, would benefit from this standard of curriculum and therefore, it is being marketed for use in all schools.

California Starline writers are a team made up of practicing and retired teachers, business professionals, home-school moms, degreed professionals, and technical experts. This writing team provides a diversity of teaching voices “heard” in the curriculum, each course giving the student a broader perspective of expression in his or her continuing educational journey.  Each writer adds a unique aspect to our character based, individualized, independent learning curriculum.
